The FILT Spirit

Durability and Fairness: to FILT these are not just two fashionable words. We are a brand that tries to emphasize sustainability and fairness in every aspect of our mission. That’s why all our products are made of 100% organic cotton. We use biological materials for everything we do; from our clothing tags to the paper we write on.

FILT products are created in Indonesia. We highly rate the skills and knowledge of the Indonesians and believe they’re a true asset to our body of thought. Add to that the opportunity for them to expand their activities to other countries, and you’ll see the essence of the FILT spirit: we all contribute to each other on basis of equality.

Where we’re coming from

Bandung, Indonesia, about two years ago. Two guys from The Netherlands step into a store when a local brand catches their eye. Impressed by its unparalleled style and sparkling originality, a light bulb raises above their heads. And it hasn’t stopped shining bright ever since.

The Dutchmen returned home, cultivating the local brand FILT into a border breaking label. Their message? Plain and simple: create awareness about global climate issues in a non-nagging, but positive way. Using their sense of humor and cutting statements, these guys believe FILT is the best way to attract attention to what really matters today.

In our pipeline

Obviously, FILT is just getting started. There’s a lot more where our current collection came from. After a successful start in 2010, we are confident that our summer collection for 2011 brings you more of what you want to see from us.  But this is not where we stop. In 2012 we will take it a step further, offering you different models of shirts, and even hoodies and sweaters for the winter. Make sure you don’t miss it by staying tuned to Facebook and our website!
